Installation Recommendations

  • Follow the installation instructions.
  • Occasionally it is better to remove third party PCMCIA cards, such as network cards, sound cards, etc. except the Pixera PCMCIA card to avoid conflicts while installing the new driver.
  • If possible, install the Pixera PCMCIA card in slot 1, or the slot nearest to the CPU* on the motherboard to avoid communication problems with the card. (*A small fan mounted on top often indicates the location of the CPU)

The driver is known to work well with Toshiba, Dell, and IBM notebook computers and Intel Pentium, Xeon, and Celeron processors. The driver is incompatible with Compaq and HP noteboook computers, AMD Duron and AMD Athlon processors, and the LPT1 slot.

These are known requirements and restrictions. Others may apply. Pixera does not guarantee compatibility with all vendors but makes a great effort in providing compatible solutions for a large number of computers, operating systems, and other products.

If a recommended solution doesn't work or your system does not comply with the requirements, please contact Pixera technical support.
